Adam Podlesh was born on August 11, 1983 in Rochester, New York and is an American football punter for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is a graduate of Pittsford Sutherland High School. He played college football for the Maryland Terrapins.

On June 2, 2008, he was elected to the Rochester Jewish Sports Hall of Fame. He was participating in the Jaguars OTA workouts, so his grandmother, Betty Podlesh, accepted the honor for him.

Podlesh is the only four-time All-ACC selection in school history. He ranked fourth in school history with 216 punts for 9,314 yards, the second-best average in school history and ninth-best in ACC history. Adam ranked second in school history for career punting yards, had 83 career punts downed inside the 20, and did not have a punt blocked in his career. He was recipient of the team's Terrapin Club Award, given to the player that gave the greatest career contribution to football.

Podlesh played in all 16 games and both postseason games at Pittsburgh and at New England. He ranked seventh in the AFC and 17th in the NFL with a 36.9-yard net average. He recorded 54 punts for a 41.6-yard gross average and a 36.9-yard net average with 14 punts inside the 20 and two touchbacks, had a long punt of 76 yards and did not have a punt blocked. In Week 8 vs. Tampa Bay, he punted eight times for 364 yards with a 45.5-yard average and booted a career-long 76 yarder. The 76-yard punt was the second longest in team history and the second-longest punt of the season in the NFL

Podlesh is single and lives in Pittsford, N.Y. He was a three-year letterman in football as a punter, fullback and linebacker, named first-team All-State as a scholar-athlete by the New York Coaches' Association and earned All-Region honors from Super Prep.
